This is the first time I've taught this process publicly. Because it's a live workshop with a limited enrollment window, I can't promise when (or if) I'll run it again in this format. If you've been waiting for a sign to finally get your revision on track, this is it.
SAVE YOUR SEAT →Does this sound familiar?
Scenario #1: You just typed "The End" on your draft. You're proud—you should be—but now you're staring at your manuscript thinking... What do I actually do with this? You know it needs work. You just don't know where to start or what to fix first.
Scenario #2: You've been revising for a while. Months. Maybe longer. You've tweaked and tinkered and moved things around, but honestly? You're not sure if you're making it better or just... different. You're stuck in a loop, and you can't see your story clearly anymore.
Either way, you're facing the same problem:
You don't have a system for revision.
And without one, revision becomes a guessing game. You fix what feels wrong. You polish sentences that might get cut. You go in circles—or you freeze completely.
It doesn't have to be this way.
Most writers approach revision the hard way.
They dive into page-level edits before they understand what their story’s really about.
They read their messy draft from page one—but they've read it so many times they can't see it clearly anymore.
They know what they meant to write, so their brain skips right over what's actually on the page.
Or they hand their manuscript to someone else (a developmental editor, beta readers, writing groups) and hope for a magic fix—only to get a pile of feedback that leaves them more overwhelmed than before.
None of this is your fault. No one teaches writers how to actually revise. We're told to "just dive in and fix it"—but no one shows us how.
What you need is a process—a way to figure out what's broken, what's working, and what to fix first.
That's what this accelerator gives you.

INTRODUCING THE...
Revision Accelerator
A 5-day implementation workshop for fiction writers who want to stop guessing and start revising with a real plan.
This isn't a "watch and take notes" situation. Each day focuses on one step of building your Revision Roadmap: clarifying your story's core, mapping what's on the page, diagnosing problems, prioritizing fixes, and creating your plan.
You'll learn the process and then actually do it—on your own manuscript—so by Day 5, your Roadmap is done (and so is the confusion about what your manuscript needs).
STEP 1: REVIEW→STEP 2: ROADMAP→STEP 3: REVISE
You'll walk away with:
→ A Story One Sheet that captures what your book is actually about
→ A Reverse Outline that shows you what's on the page (not what you meant to write)
→ A clear list of your manuscript's actual problems—not vague doubts, but specific issues you can fix
→ Your problems sorted by priority, so you know what to tackle first, what can wait, and what to ignore
→ A complete Revision Roadmap showing exactly what to fix and in what order.
No more guessing. Just a plan you can follow. This is the clarity most writers never get.
Poornika used the reverse outline to identify which scenes to cut, keep, or fix 📚
"For me, the thing that made a huge difference was creating a reverse outline where I summarized each scene into 1–3 sentences. That helped me see the main point of each scene, and I could easily tell if a scene didn't play into the global plot and therefore needed to be changed or removed."
Sharon used the reverse outline to see the structure of her draft ✨
"The concept of editing in phases finally convinced me to finish drafting before I begin revising. Creating a reverse outline has helped me keep track of my changes and see the structure more clearly."
Everything You Need to Build Your Revision Roadmap
The Revision Accelerator isn't just five trainings. Every piece of what's included is designed to make sure you actually finish the week with a plan—not just notes you'll never look at again.

Here's What the Schedule Looks Like
Each day includes a live 30-minute training session plus 45–90 minutes of homework—about 2 hours total, applied directly to your manuscript.
DAY 1: APRIL 16TH
The Revision Trap
Why most writers revise the wrong way (and what to do instead)
Most writers finish a draft and immediately start fixing sentences—which is exactly backwards. In this session, you'll learn the three mistakes that keep writers spinning for months, why tackling big-picture issues first saves you from polishing scenes that might get cut, and how to get clear on what your story is actually about so every revision decision gets easier.
DAY 2: APRIL 17TH
The Reverse Outline
How to see your manuscript clearly without reading it again
By the time you've finished a draft, you've read it so many times your brain fills in what you meant to write—not what's actually on the page. This session teaches you a simple way to map your manuscript scene by scene without getting sucked into the words, so you can finally see your story clearly and spot exactly where it drags, repeats itself, or loses momentum.
APRIL 18TH-19TH
Implementation Weekend
No training. Just time to work.
Days 1 and 2 cover a lot of ground. This weekend is built into the schedule intentionally—so you can slow down, sit with your manuscript, and actually complete the homework before we pick back up on Monday. By the time Day 3 starts, you'll be ready.
DAY 3: APRIL 20TH
The Diagnostic Checklist
How to find what's actually broken and what it means
"Something feels off" isn't a revision plan—it's just anxiety. This session gives you the specific questions that reveal real problems in your manuscript, not just vague doubts, so you can walk away with clear, actionable notes that actually tell you what needs to change and why.
DAY 4: APRIL 21ST
The Triage System
How to prioritize your problems so you're not overwhelmed
Not every problem in your manuscript is equally urgent—but most writers treat them like they are, which is exactly why revision takes so long. This session shows you how to sort your problems by severity so you know precisely where to start, what can wait, and what will actually disappear on its own once you fix the bigger issues first.
DAY 5: APRIL 22ND
Your Revision Roadmap
How to turn your diagnosis into a plan you can actually follow
This is where everything comes together. Using everything you've built over the past four days, you'll turn your diagnosis into a scene-by-scene revision plan—so when you sit down to revise, you know exactly what to work on first and you never have to guess again.

SAVE YOUR SEAT →Stefanie zoomed out, found the weak spots, and they were exactly where she thought 🚀
"One thing that made a huge difference for me was how to zoom way out and look at the story from 10,000 feet once it was on the page. It turned out the excesses and holes I found this way were right on the money."
Maggie went from feeling overwhelmed to feeling excited about revisions ✨
"Understanding the phases of editing is what made me excited to start my revisions. It made reading my messy first draft a lot easier and removed the overwhelm knowing I was only looking for the 'story' problems, and didn't have to worry about the scenes/paragraph/line level edits just yet."
Is the Revision Accelerator right for you?

MEET YOUR MENTOR
Hi, I'm Savannah Gilbo—a developmental editor, book coach, and host of the Fiction Writing Made Easy podcast (3m+ downloads).
Over the past decade, I've evaluated hundreds of manuscripts. And I've seen the same pattern again and again: talented writers stuck in revision limbo—not because they lack skill, but because no one ever taught them how to actually revise.
They reread their draft until the words blur. They collect feedback that sends them in ten directions at once. They tweak, tinker, and rewrite—and still can't tell if any of it is helping.
It's not a talent problem. It's a process problem.
That's why I created the Revision Accelerator. I wanted to take the same diagnostic process I use when evaluating manuscripts professionally and teach it directly to writers—so you can walk into every revision with a clear process, whether you're working alone or with an editor.
If you've ever stared at your draft thinking I know something's off, I just don't know what—this workshop was built for you.
