With a Manuscript Evaluation, you'll get a clear understanding of the current state of your manuscript and what you can do to improve it. You'll learn what works, what doesn't work, and most importantly, why something doesn't work. I'll also provide you with the best next steps to take to move forward with your novel.
Here's a reminder of what's included:
A big picture analysis of your story so that you'll know what's working, what's not working, and why. I'll addresses the key elements of novel creation--genre, character, plot, structure, point of view, and theme.

A micro-analysis of your first five scenes so that you'll what you need to improve when it comes to scene writing. I'll take a deep-dive into your first five scenes to see what's working, what's not working, and why. I'll provide you with a recap so that you'll know what to look out for or improve on as you rewrite your scenes.
A 1-hour phone call where we'll talk about the current state of your draft, go over my feedback, and I'll answer any questions you might have. The best part? You'll be able to download a copy of our call that you can keep forever!
Additional resources and materials curated specifically for you and your story. These might include genre cheat sheets, The Story Grid eBook, links for further study, and more. I'll also suggest 3-5 recommended masterworks to study in your genre, or to use as "comp titles" when it comes time to query.
